When Wisdom Speaks

When wisdom speaks, there is a quiet, strong and present nature to the vibration of its voice. There is balance inherent in its ability to see all sides and observe what needs to shift internally so that we can feel whole, even in the midst of difficulty. There are parts of us that work to maintain our identity’s safety and stability, others that collect and analyze data, and still more that whisper the sweet nothings into our inner world in the form of intuition and spiritual guidance. All of these parts are extremely important for a rich and present life. It is even more important that they stay in balance.

When we move too far into the realm of instinct, we live as frightened animals always clawing their way through life just to survive. You know those days, trying to beat the clock while fighting technology and difficult people… even though your body is simply going through the motions of a modern day life, your inner world is receiving a message that you are in clear and present danger – maybe even a war zone! With a clear intellectual look at the data, you can create a plan to get out of it. But still, plans made in the atmosphere of chaos can actually create even more stress for your psyche. What is needed in order to bring balance in this situation is a message from beyond the situation. That is where wisdom comes in.

Einstein once said "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." In this instance, intuition is the new thinking. When you are stressed and the problems seem to continue to close in around you, see if you can find your way from an active, defensive or planning state into a receptive state. This is best achieved through meditation, or sitting silently with your eyes closed as you focus on your breath. You can also take a silent walk, drive or bath to get there. With enough practice, it can be found through an instantaneous decision. The sanctuary of the inner life has many doors. Once you find yours, ask that certain something that is beyond you to send you the message that you need to hear most right now.

Today I sat and took my own medicine, as I dealt with a challenge in my own energy. As I became still and looked at each part of me to see who was running the show, I felt pressured by my instinct to move faster and stay out of the invisible danger created by what my intellect was telling me. My intuitive wisdom, however, told me very gently that there is a divine order to all things. I repeated it to myself until my whole being fell into stillness.

There is a divine order.
All things are in divine order.
My life is in divine order.
I am in divine order.

Can you feel the presence of a wise energy that holds a higher message for you today?  If not, feel free to share in mine. Your life is in divine order too, whether you know it or not. May we both remember it in deep within in our bones!
